07-17-2017 07:45:11:Eaglecrest is now closed for the season.

The Summer trail is clear of snow to the top of Ptarmigan and the top of Black Bear. The Lower Nordic Trail is clear of snow all the way to Fish Creek. Summer has arrived on the mountain!

Porcupine Lodge office hours this summer are Monday through Wednesday from 10am-2pm. Come by or call the ticket window at (907) 790-2000 x214.

Just a reminder that Alaska Zipline Adventures has moved into the Porcupine Lodge and all facilities are now closed to the public for the summer.

Hikers and bikers are urged to bring plenty of water. A public toilet is available in the lower parking lot. There are also public toilets available at the Eagle's Nest at the top of the mountain.

Terrain Park Series


Eaglecrest Terrain Park Series 2017:


Feb. 25th - Porcupine Rail Jam - 11am to 2pm

Mar. 11th - Sourdough Open Jam - 11am-2pm

-Slope Style competition on the Sourdough Terrain Park. Park opens at 11am and competition will start at 12pm. Bring some friends and your helmet and stop by to hit some cool features and have a great time! Helmets and waivers are required to participate. Registration will be located at the top of the terrain park. See you there!

Mar. 25th - Sourdough Big Air Jam - 12pm-2pm

-Tricks are the name of the game, sign up to show us your best moves on the Sourdough Terrain Park. There will be music, prizes and lots of fun to be had. Wiavers and helmets are required, but admission is free!

Smart Style

1. Look before you leap

  • Scope around the jumps first, not over them.
  • Know your landings are clear and clear yourself out of the landing area.
  • Be aware that the features change constantly due to weather, usage, grooming and time of day.

2. Easy style it

  • Start small and work your way up. Inverted aerials are NOT allowed.
  • Freestyle skills require maintaining control on the ground and in the air.
  • Do not attempt any features unless you have sufficient ability and experience to do so safely.

3. Respect gets respect

  • From the lift line through the park
  • Respect the terrain and others, One person on a feature at a time, Wait your turn and call your start, Always clear the landing area quickly
  • Respect all signs and stay off closed terrain and features
